stall /converter ?

hi again guys,my question is what stall, will be best for my 89 gta with a 700r4 tranny.i was thinking between 26or 2800.here is what i have in my car now,5.7ltr ,373's,headers,thermomaster chip,airfoil,k/n filter,30lb injectors,underdrive pulleys ,flowmaster,b/n shift kit.any help on this??????? :rolleyes:

Looks like a 2400-2600 would be a good choice given as to what your mods are. One question though, why 30# injectors? That's what I have in my 383. I had more mods on my old 350 TPI and ran 24# injectors.

I'm certainly no pro when it comes to stuff like this, but since you don't have anything real radical, I'd say your are probably in the ball-park w/ 2600-2800. I wouldn't go any more than that. Good idea to get an external trans cooler though... extra slip = more heat.

sounds like you will have to tune, or should I say "de-tune" for those injectors. thats alot of fuel for that setup.

I took the splash shield out from under my car on the pass side front. My trans cooler is mounted kind of behind the marker light under the front of the car at an angle to pick up air from under the car. I am off work this week, kind of just sitting here on call till 6pm every day - so I'll try and post a picture later today of where it is mounted.

FYI - Pantera61, I just posted a pic of where my transmission cooler is mounted in the Picture Post section.
