Thanks for all of the good ideas.
I'm glad to see not everyone has jumped on the
import band wagon.

We had an event here in Youngstown this past weekend - Hot Rod Super Nationals.

In past years anyone with an import dared not even
show their faces... but this year I'd say a good
1/4 to 1/3 of the cars were yuck... imports

I even saw some little red thing with a custom plate that said 'v8 killr'

I'm not discounting the fact that some of the imports are really fast.. but is there a reason to
take the hood off of your civic and drive around wearing a wife beater and your hat backwards. graemlins/roll.gif

I believe the demise of the f-body was caused by the import craze; to heck with the SUV myth.

No thanks... I'm hanging onto mine.

And soon I will find the V8 killr....soon V8 RWD
WRATH, upon his 12 inch diameter exhaust tip.

Now that I have vented, does anyone running the tbi holley setup have any part numbers for the intake or tbi. Holley's web site has more dead links than I have dead bugs on my windshield.

Thanks again for all your input. :D

Don't let them ricers get to you. Its just a fad. "Muscle cars" have been around since just about the creation of the automobile. "Rice" just started. The people that drive these things are the same group of kids who when I was little, were on the streets "breakdancing", and look what happened to it... It will eventually phase out, and the people that once LOVED there Altezza's will look at them like a pair parachute pants graemlins/lol.gif

i hope i am wrong but i dont think rice is a fad
:( see many people are not interested in performance now days they are interested in LOOKING like they have performance ,probably the reason mustangs are sold by the truckload in v6 form
now with the demise of the f body what else do you guys in usa have ?? corvette /viper etc that are out of most peoples price range
we in aus have similar import hassles BUT at least we still have V8 rear wheel drive cars in GM and fnord smile.gif

The homies can have their imports, we'll always be faster :D . I love listening to them say how the imports are going to take over because of technology...little do they know for every advancement they make we do too. Hot rodding real cars is still strong, so that is all that matters to me.

My point to this battle is, if I would take my $2,000 Camaro and spend the same amount of money on go fast parts the ricers wouldn't even stand a chance.
