My tacometers jacked up

I got a 91 rs with a 305 and the tacometer is like off adjustmebt it reads at the red line at an idle, but the car is running fine..what to do?

I've had to buy an aftermarket. I have gone threw 3 stock tachs. None of them have been accurate.

well I can usually eat three or four tacos before I redline and make a b-line for the nearest restroom
