Saw a 64 Chevelle SS convertible for sale up the road from my house.... it needs some work (paint/minor rust, from what I can tell) but it's a knockout! Red w/tan top, tan and black interior.... schweet! A little pricey, tho... looks like $7500 is the asking price. Now, if it was under $5000, I might be forced to stop at the lot..... :(

I think if you check the prices at Hemmings.com, you will find $7500 to be a bargain, unfortunately. :(

Speaking of broke, talking with SSaSSy today she already has my June bonus and next year's tax refund figured into her scheme of things. The bee-otch of all this I'm not even married... :eek: :mad:

Quick update... I stopped and talked to the guy with the Chevelle for sale. The price was dropped to $5000. Pros- it's an SS, interior is fair, am told it runs like a top. Cons- not the original 283 (it's got a 307), rust is popping up on the rear quarters and around the back window. :( Still.... it sure would be a nice fixer-upper....

If the phone doesn't ring, I'm busy picturing a '64 SS of my own parked next to the eT/A....

LL6- Ain't that the truth! My wife has any extra money, over-time, etc. spent before I can even bring it home.

I am not broke , I get almost anything I want!!!!! Money is not everything but it is nice to have around . :D
