does a TPI use the rear coolant crossover? I have some GM intake gaskets but the rear crossover is blocked by a plate. should I remove the plate to allow the crossover?

It does not use the rear crossover, so you can leave the plates in, or take them out. Your choice...

The factory TPI does not use the rear crossover like Bernard said, however most of the aftermarket rears have these passages there to use if you desire....i think I have mine open, no side effects....don't know what the +/- would be.....well i have some ideas, but nothing concrete.

I just left them in. They had a small hole in them so it's not like they are totally blocked off. All looks good right now.

So he had to do it again, and this time leave them out :( But this engine had crossevers in the back of the intake, unlike our TPI itakes.

My accel intake has a rear coolant crossover. Hmmm. I'm not gonna take it off unless I have to. TPI, while no Supperram, is still a pain to remove.

Sorry, I didn't think ANY TPI intake had a rear crossover. If the OEM doesn't use one, then you should be OK.

that's I was thinking. I still have my old 305 and stock base but I was too lazy to unwrap the mighty beast from its slumber.
