A guy approached me at my work the other day while talking to his friend. I overheard him saying he just got an 87 firebird.
me:cool, I love those cars.
him:yeah, it's fast too
me:what motor?
him:it's just a 5.0, but I'm putting ram air and vortech on it and all that stuff
me:I see.
him:I really want to put Vtec on it
me:(thinking OMG this guy is gay) Oh really?
him:yeah, it's going to be sweet
me:that would be pretty interesting. Just what is Vtec anyways
him:it makes the engine more powerful
me:How does it do that?
him:makes the rpms move faster
me:Oh, I see. Good luck with that

I really wanted to tell this guy what a stupid jack*** he was, but for the life of me I just can't seem to say stuff like that to people.

I would have probably done the same thing as you aaron, but if i was with a friend or two, or even with my girlfriend, i would have laughed in his face. Otherwise i'd just imagine myself kicking him in the nuts and him rolling on the floor in agony.

You should have told him you guys carry a V-tec explanitory video and presented him with that movie "Queer As Folk". graemlins/lol.gif

That's ok, I saw a 99'-up mudstain V6 on I-4 today sporting some clear tails and an HKS sticker. Some n-sync wannabe clone was driving it. :rolleyes:

The Gen IV small block thats currently being tested for the C6 Corvette (the one with the twin cams in the block) has Variable Valve Timing, and its OHV :eek:

The in-line 6 cylinder 4200 engine found in the GMC Envoy, Chevy Trailblazer and Olds Bravada has a variable timed Exhaust camshaft. ;)

A VTEC 'bird... that would be interesting. Chicken Fried Rice. I did see a 'Type R' Ford Probe yesterday..... couldn't believe home slice even put that sticker on his car..... :eek: :rolleyes:
