the lower vents on my stereo pod. Since removing the AC (atleast thats when i noticed it) Ive had warm air coming out of those vents. A couple of weekends ago I got around to installing a non ac heater box, and since then its gotten worse, and hotter. Its gotten uncomfortable to drive it in the heat now. My right leg is getting cooked. Anybody ever have this problem, or know of a reason why this is happening?

Do you still have the "water valve" installed in-line to your heater core? It blocks flow to the heater core when its shut off. Also, do the slide controls for the "temp" work? The cable is attached to an arm on the bottom of the door that directs air through, or around the heater core. Maybe something wrong w/ the cable?

All the slide controls seem to function. As for the water valve I assume its still there I never removed it. I did remember one thing. After removeing the AC compressor, and other assoc pieces the heat wont flow threw my other vents. Only my defroster will blow out hot air besides those small vents in the stereo pod.

The water valve stops Hot coolant from going through the heater core, when the heater is turned off. tongue.gif

It depends. If you had a Carbed car, it has two nipples, and if you had Fuel Injection, it has three nipples. Just follow your heater hoses and you will find a black plastic valve w/ a vacuum line on it. And you should KEEP IT!

Hook the vacume line for the vents under the hood back up. I don't think they ever got reconnected after that fatefull 2 in the morning adventure.
