Well, as most everyone knows....my 700R4 is a big POS. My dad's friend came by today, he is in his mid 50's and has built automatics for some time. He doesn't do any real performance work with them, but he is very knowledgeable and has a good reputation. He saw my 700R4 lying on the garage floor and asked what was up with it. I told him what it had & hadn't been doing, next thing I know he has it on our work bench all over the place. Finds a few things wrong.

First off, my new & exp$pen$ive Fairbanks pump is ruined. Somehow the impeller got twisted inside. Reguardless, it's f***ed in plain english. Next, the dipwad builder has drilled several holes in the valvebody that don't belong there. All my clutches are destroyed too. How? It escapes me. There were a few other assed backwards modifications as well. Anyhow, I am looking at a hefty repair bill and I have my "new" transmission residing in boxes all over the garage now. :( I am not a happy camper.

Man, that sucks. Are you going to do anything about it? I'd take it to the shop that did it and shove it up their a**

I hope you kept your reciept ;) That sucks. Is there any chance you can get your money back or anything?

Rick, I thought so too. But, at the BBQ everyone convinced me to keep this miserable piece of crap. I used to work for the guy who built the transmission. He has since moved shop elsewhere, haven't heard from - or seen him in months. The guy can and has built good TH350's & TH400's for people, but he doesn't seem to know his ass from his elbow when it comes to 700R4's. He built 3 for us and none of them are any good. I guess our transmissions were s sceince project gone wrong for him.

I have regained my composure today, and would rather put it all behind me for now.
