I may have the "hook up" on some 3.42 gears, but to install them, I need to ditch the 2 series carrier I currently use. So the cheapest way out is to purchase the OEM Zexel-Torsen carrier used in the 4th gens, sold by SLP.
How much can they handle? Are they worth a dang?

Bernard, do you by chance have a "hook up" on a set of 28 spline axles?
And to answer your question about the 4th gen carrier just look at the hook here (http://members.fbody.com/evilone/). 1.58 60 foot time,11.99@111mph.

No, no hook up yet, wanted to make sure the carrier would be OK before crossing that bridge.
Are you sure that was just a T/A? Because if SLP had there hands on it, then I would be buying the very component that they tossed away :( His times are very impressive though :D

Just a plain ole Trans Am with a aftermarket hood. I have seen that car run quite a few times at Steele and it is very impressive.
