Is your G/F posing, or actually getting her hands dirty. It would take lots of $$$$ just to get my wife to pose, let alone get dirty!!! graemlins/lol.gif

What kind of heads are those? After owning aluminum heads myself, I don't think I will ever go back to cast iron.

They are Holley aluminum. They are rather small but seem to flow well. So far they have taken me to 12.15 in the 1/4 and they only have 186cc intake runners. I love aluminum heads. The only drawback to these were I had all the intake bolt holes Heli-coiled after stripping 2 out over the years.
O yeah, she is actually getting her hands dirty. She helps with alot of stuff when needed. I like to catch her off guard and snap a pic of her working. smile.gif

graemlins/lol.gif @ Aaron. Her IROC doesn't have the overheard console with the "Service Due" roll dials on it. You may be able to get her to use those. graemlins/lol.gif

Hmm...there's something about that exhaust system...can't seem to put my finger on it, but it looks like I've seen it somewhere before. ;)

I guess ya'll could be right about Jeremey being lucky..... I dont mind getting dirty.... I just wish he would let me do it more often than I get to. I think I have learned more about cars than any other person in the world in the past 14 months...hehe...I guess Im smart like that!!! :D

12yrold, keep up the good work. I think I speak for the majority of wrencheads, when I say I wish my wife could get into my car as much as I do. She learning though. When we go to stuff like the shootout, she can usually pick out mods, like "thats a supercharger", or "hey, he has 'NAWS'" lol

I can rattle off that some guy ran a 17 second 1/4 mile time w/ his "supposedly fast V8" and she will snicker, and then I can say that "so and so's car ran a 12, and she like "WOW", so I guess it isn't all that bad.

Bernard, from the look on her face on one of your runs she might be able to tell where the starting line is.

12yrold, keep up the good work. I think I speak for the majority of wrencheads, when I say I wish my wife could get into my car as much as I do. I have always wanted a camaro before I met Jeremey... the most I knew about cars tho was makes, models, and years...I dunno why, I just did.....but this was just something I always wanted to learn, just found a GREAT TEACHER to teach me what I have learned.....as for your wife, I bet she is happy w/ ya and the car thing, she just has her own way of looking at it.

Wives that help are good, but what about when you come home from deployment and get your first Summit catalog in six and a half months only to find it addressed to the wife instead of you? What's a man to do?

My wife used to get the summit catalogs, when she bought my SSM SFC many x-mas's ago, but since my latest creation, I have outspent here, and now they come to me!! graemlins/devil.gif

Summit is a fickle Co. Just let her order something again and see whose name is on the catalog. graemlins/lol.gif

nice pics smile.gif

Is it a bad thing that my girlfriend wants to drop a 502 with a M22 and a 12 bolt into her 79 Z?

Yes she was the one that told me that.. I swear I didnt have any infulence at all on her of what to pick out for it :D lol

I kinda like having a gf that is really into cars. It is cool just to sit bad with her, watch some tv and shoot the shit about cars with her. Only thing is that i hate working on her car lol. hehe
