Bernard,
I know it has been awhile but did you ever take any pictures of the location of the motor mounts on the frame of your car? I'm preparing to replace my 2.8 with a 350 and was wondering which holes I'm to use for the V8 mounts on the frame.
Thanks
Brian

Jeremy, your the bomb. :D
Jeremy nailed it. Thats the exact positioning you need. I offered to post pictures so that you could see that the bottom front of the mount is supposed to hang over the crossmember, but Jeremy beat me to it. Mad props to J!!!! :D

[takes a bow]Thank you, thank you. Just trying to help our fellow members out. Also just in case you didnt know that motor mount is not stock. A stock motor mount looks nothing like the one pictured.
Hey B, think its time to replace my tie rod ends?

Yeah, my 170,000 mile tie rods look like that too. I didn't even see the tie rod end in your pic, I just recognize the bare metal where the boot no longer covers ;)
I was a little nervous hitting the triple digits at the track knowing my front suspention looked like that, thankfully Ragtop88 was there to loan me his helmet!! :D

I have one sitting in my closet, I was just being a dumbass I guess.
I'll defintaly bring it next time, they won't let me stay long w/ my "12's" without a helmet!!!!

Thanks for the picture, I may go with Moroso mounts instead of rubber ones.
Thanks Again

Sorry for the double post. How hard was it to get those bolted on, some one had told me it is easier if I would remove the lower control arm, I do have a welder. :D

I ended up dropping the control arm. I am glad I went with the solid mounts on that car, it means i'll never have to change them again. smile.gif

When I did this swap last summer it was easier do with the springs out of the way and the control arm just hanging there still bolted to the K-member. It can be done with the spring still in place, but that takes WAY to much patience on my part and a good magnet.
