distr. oil leak

I've been batling with my distributor for leaking oil for the last year and some. I can't seem to get it to seal. Any tips?

Have you tried roughing up the surface on the intake where the gasket seats? I do that sometimes if I have an oil leak. If surfaces are too slippery, oil will generally leak from there. Look at those damn chrome oil pans and timing covers for example.
