wants to run me for pinks...i'm sure the guy is full of it as he won't run me till he gets some "mods"...but i had a really good laugh out of it! it's a 2010 l99/auto car, with stock tires...part of me wants to do it just to piss him off, then i'll sell it back to him for a dollar or something...

Mid to low 13's on a great day, upper 13's is more average. When are you going back to the track Matt? Didn't know if you've had the time to do some sorting out with your car or not.

i've had time, the car is nearly ready. i just called aeromotive today, the pump is going back to them tomorrow for a warranty repair. apparently the proper pre-filters are important, lol! the guys at Aeromotive have been really cool and understanding and are going to fix it for free. i highly recommend these guys for whenever anyone goes to a bigger fuel pump. i also got the 4.11's in last night...

brian, i was thinking i could just come down and snatch your motor for a weekend, just incase he has something planned that i didn't see...lol...

:happy0157: It might be wound a little tight at the stripe with your 4.11's - just tell him per recent NHRA rules, you'll be kind and run him to the 1000' mark. ;)

Glad to hear you did the gear swap and are getting the fuel issue fixed. I want to see that car hang the hoops and jump into the 11's with two feet!

your motor would love a 4.11 and a bias ply 29" tall tire, don't lie, lol! i think my motor will school him on my own without a problem though...bus-lengths come to mind :)

he's kind of a tool honestly, and his car is the "transformer edition", it's black and has transformer decals all over it...it's a cool car minus the decals....but he's got that attitude like his shit don't stink...i asked him when we were gonna run 'em...he told me he'd run 'em for pinks after he got some "mods" done to it...all it takes is one phone call to get a 175shot setup on my junk, or to borrow a procharger for a weekend...i'd be willing to sacrifice my long block to embarass him and take his car though...

Funny how that attitude seems to rule the LSX crowd.

Better than having the "doesn't run right" or "oil blowby" that my LT1 membership has gotten me. :happy0167:

Ehh... LS engines do work. You have lots of fanboys who ran out and got them because the were the "new thing" at the time. Those are the types that talk tons of crap, the guys that never turn a wrench on their own car.

I see lots of LS haters on TGO, etc, etc. The fact of the matter is, 99.9999999999999% of them are a joke. I WILL bust that ass, the end. I had a guy on another site with an LE heads/cam LT1 claming he trapped 120+ and would bust any heads/cam LS1 around. Here I sit over a year later waiting for that toolbag to post the vids of me mopping the floor with him. I went to the track right after I raced him and only went 121 MPH best that day. Guys like him prompt me to make some pretty mean LT1 jokes. There are plenty of D-bags out there that don't own LS-powered vehicles.

My LT1 runs just fine and doesn't leak a single drop of oil or have any blowby.

I could give a shit less how fast it is, who could beat it, who couldn't, etc etc.

Guess I'm just too old and hate street racing. I'm more into a well built cruiser.

That said I love a strong running engine that can haul ass believe me and lots of LSx engines fit the bill. I'm just old school oriented and would rather build a monster all out drag engine for a car that would ass rape any LSx engine around.

I will admit though, this thing sounds AWESOME.

the problem is though, that the same amount of money spent on a genI motor will make more power every time in the gen III/IV motor, and if you're old skool, they make carb/distributor conversions, of which i'm still seriously contemplating...

i'm more or less thinking about it for down the road...bigger cubes, bigger heads, and bigger camshaft would come first, then i'd decide on how much i like the streetability of my fuel injection versus how much a real tune would cost...
