This is what the ZZ4 does when first started in the morning. After awhile, it smoothes out and runs normal (or as normal as the car will run). Later in the day after work it usually doesn't do this. Sometimes it does this longer in the morning than other times. Sometimes if I shift the car into neutral and give it a couple revs or keep the revs up for a few it clears up.
I'm sensing bad lifter, oil drains at night, does not pump up properly until the car is warmed up some. Thoughts?
p.s. all plugs are clean, no obvious dead cylinder.

I think you need to:

a) drive the car off a cliff
b) get a new hobby

What's WOT? I haven't been able to hit anything over 1/3 throttle in months. I still have the detonation problem. This is just something new.

it's al love BSA. If I was in FL I'd tell him to get his @ss down to my place and he wouldn't/couldn't go home until the driveability problems were solved.

no, but I can bring you my old crusty 305 heads with an edelbrock sticker and a can of aluminum Krylon...well perhaps I'd splurdge for actual engine paint.

Maybe next summer I'll drive accross the country and visit you guys at some gathering. I'd go this summer but I have summer school all summer and up to fall semester. Of course I'd bring my lucky weatherman tool, some duck tape, a flare, some JD, a scrap of paper with RobP's address on it written in crayon, and one way or another I'll "take care" of his problem. graemlins/devil.gif
