When removing the wheels from my car today, I found the driver's side to be completely missing, and the passenger's side over 50% gone.

It appears that factory replacemtns are pricey and hard to obtain. And, no one in the aftermarket makes a direct fit replacement.

Did some digging and found that 3rd gen bump stops are a direct fit, but keep in mind the age of these cars know that parts for them are drying up as well.

The solution... prothane bump stops originally intended for a jeep. I just ordered a set from Summit 10 minutes ago. They were $22.90/pr - shipped to my doorstep. These are not a direct bolt on, and will require some slight mods to fit. However the bolt hole spacing is perfect. I will take plenty of pictures and do a small write up over the next few days.

We will be waiting, I'm curious as to what mods are needed.

PST doesn't make them?

Nope, Strano even sells the jeep application bump stops.

I have some PST Front bump stops, but i Have never looked for the rears

I am usually just cutting mine in half anyways since I tend to always lower whatever car I get my hands on lol

And they came in the mail today....

I'll work on getting them on the car tomorrow. Strano suggests drilling some small holes in them to soften them a little. So if the car bottoms out at speed, it won't be so harsh. Making it easier to keep the car under control.

Yeah... that won't work for me. I actually have passengers, etc. in my car from time to time.

I used a sawzall to make quick work of the area.

A little spray paint and it's done.

No problem, I've seen other write ups online. But, they never really take enough pictures IMHO.

Jay - I did, three 3/16" holes in each. Not sure how much it will help, but at the suggestion of Steve Strano... I did it.

ahhh, I see them now... lol

I was thinking they would've been done from either the side or front... not bottom to top

I read and interpreted it the same way Brian. Driver side down. Will de-garage it tomorrow and do the other side.

Thanks Brian!
